About Shelter Cove

Shelter Cove can be found in a clear, gentle, sandy bay with small coral coated rocks featuring a varied amount of marine life including Urchins, Nudibranch and Sea Cucumber as well as a many small fish. One can see Moray Eels, Scorpionfish, Lobster, and Parrotfish, large groups of Sea Whips, smallish basket sponges, bright sea fans and gorgonian fans all over rocky outcrops making for a seemingly alien environment. One can also encounter Butterfly fish, scat and red-toothed trigger sharks living amongst the rocks. Due to the large amounts of table and plate coral one will see many Brown Barred Rock Cod, Groupers, Oriental Sweetlips and Angelfish. In between the nooks and crannies one might be lucky enough to see Olive Ridley Turtles.
