About Barracuda Diving India

BARRACUDA DIVING INDIA began operating in 1993 to promote the sport of recreational diving in India. It is the first PADI Dive Resort in the entire Indian sub-continent. The membership, held since 1997, recognizes the highest standards of diver education, staff training, safety, equipment and dive services and denotes a quality control assurance to divers worldwide. The Barracuda team have proudly received three PADI 'Awards of Excellence' for outstanding dedication to diver safety, education and environmental conservation. They are India's first SSI Diamond Dive Center and offer an extensive range of SSI certification courses, specialties and Dive Professional level courses. Owners Venkatesh Charloo (India) and Karen Gregory (U.K.) are both highly qualified PADI IDC Staff Instructors and SSI Dive Control Specialist Instructors with extensive diving and teaching experience in Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, Andaman and Lakshadweep Islands. With 16 years of teaching experience, diving and travel in India they look forward to sharing their incomparable passion for the knowledge and beauty of the amazing underwater world.
