Wilson Pond cam be found in Wilton, Maine and is easily entered via the boat ramp in Kineowatha Park on High Street. There is a large amount of boat traffic and as such one should not swim within 50 feet of the launch. The outer area of the lake is generally quite shallow at a depth of 25 feet. There is no flora at the bottom but one can see the occasional 55-gallon drum or engine block. The outflow of the bridge is incredibly shallow at 6 feet and is blocked. One should take care of the dangerous whirlpool. The west side of the dam is rather deep at 70 feet and one will need a boat as well as permission to enter the area. There is a moraine of glacial debris that covers the cove once 50 feet in. Once can see a lot of fish as well as flora in the cove. In the summer months a lodge is open and a bathroom and snack bar are available.
