The Islander was a Sidewheel Steamer operating on Lake Ontario, New York. She sank after catching fire on September 16, 1909. She burned down to the waterline and sank within a short time. This wreck can be dived by all level with a easy shore entry point. Its known to be the most popular wreck dive in Alexandria Bay. Lots of marine life and things to explore. Excellent bottom topography.
