About South Point

Niihau is the last pure sanctuary of native Hawaiian culture left in all of Hawai. Some 200 or more native Hawaiians still live full-time on Niihau. Their family roots go back several , practicing many of the old village customs and speaking the ancient native tongue. There are only a few weeks each year when the winds & weather permit a safe crossing to Niihau. The outstandingly visual underwater playground is not to be missed.
