About Riggy Barge

This ship was mistakenly referred to as the 'Rig Barge' or 'Riggy Barge' until recently, when it was discovered to be the three-masted schooner Helen. This dive is ideal if you like swimming as you can follow the wooden walls protruding from the sand for quite a distance. One end of the wreck houses an interesting collection of machinery (a boiler, a winch, a chain etc.), and at the other end is a large post which sticks up by itself. There are many lobster traps around but please do not take the lobsters as they belong to those who have placed the traps. Do take a look, though, as the traps can sometimes contain other creatures as well as lobsters.
