About Portland Head Light

Portland Head Light can be found in Cape Elizabeth in Maine and is a very simple site to access. One should be extremely aware that this is located on a shipping lane and caution should be taken if one attempts to leave the cove. The dive site faces northeast and is protected from the open sea. There is a sandy area after a small rocky section thrown up by the tide. There is a really small undertow present. Sand is present until the entrance of the cove. There is also a surge present on both sides of the cove itself. One does not a diving permit, You will be able to see the remains of the Portland Head Light and a military installation.
