About Ostwind Wreck

This wreck is well known as Hitlers Yacht. It was used to transport Jewish Refugees from Nazi Germany in 1939. They were ordered to leave the coast after being denied permission to dock. Returning to Europe, most of the refugees were killed in concentration camps. This wreck carries alot of history. It was sunk in June 1989 as a artificial reef in deep water, and later removed to be sunk in shallower water.
