About Morgan Lake

This dive site is part of a lake roughly 1200 acre large. There is an area where the water is warm enough to dive all year due to a nearby power plant that keeps the water temperature consistent. It is a good site to practice underwater navigation as well as search and recovery dives. The bottom is generally rather silty. It is a rather popular area for windsurfers and people using watercrafts. Swimming is not allowed although scuba diving is. Directions are as follows: Morgan Lake is 15 miles west of Farmington, NM on Hwy. 64
