About Maurice Tracy

The Maurice Tracy is just one of the ships sunk due to wartime collisions. It is scattered today in a debris field of hulls plates. As wartime wrecks go, it is fairly intact. The stern is the ships highest part and it has its fantail curve still visible. The pilothouse is relatively intact and sits almost upright, as well as the deck gun and rear of the shop. Between these parts is a large amount of collapsed wreckage with many entry points. One can see lobsters and blackfish here. In the front of the pilothouse the debris lies scattered about in a very large field. The bow is probably the largest intact piece.
