About Mansfield Dam

This dive site, found in Lake Travis, is one of the most popular dive sites in the state of Texas. One can find numerous grottos at roughly 80 feet. There is a map before you walk down to the shore but it needs updating. Throughout the dive you will find pink flamingos on a stick, feel free to move them around. Some of the highlight wrecks are a C182 at about 65 ft although it is just the the cabin of the plane and often missed. There's also a Spongebob boat , a portable toilet, a school bus and a metal cow. Theres two entry points depending on if you want to dive the dam's wall or not. Directions are as follows: Entry to the park is by a road on the west side of the dam. Then you cross a grassy area to a picnic table labeled site 51. Just beyond that is a steep rocky bank leading down to the lake.
