About Lyman Viaduct Swimming Hole

No one on the site has logged this dive yet, but we think it could be interesting, particularly with a metal detector. The site is a feed off the Blackledge river which a lot of people use as a swimming hole on hot days. The swimming hole was caused by construction of the Lyman Viaduct during the construction of the Airline Trail years ago. To bridge the height difference between sides of the Blackledge River Valley and make the site passable to trains, a massive engineering effort was undertaken, resulting in the Lyman Viaduct.
