About Lana Carol

This small wreck is badly rusted and is beginning to cave in but is otherwise almost completely intact and fully upright. It is thought that the problems encountered with the hatch covers over the cargo holds of the ship are probably the reason for its sinking as the aforementioned covers are missing. The masts are broken off and lie in the sand alongside the wreck. The wreck is covered with amazing sea life such as mussels a foot thick and thick stands of anemones. Lobsters are also found at this wreck and can be caught in the sandy areas around the hull. Occasional finds at this wreck include scallops and Blackfish although the wreck is small and can quickly be fished out.
