About Kettle Cove

Kettle Cove is part of the Maine State Park system and one will need a permit to dive in this area. The main site is to the east and the cove faces towards the southwest, thereby blocked from the open sea. The deepest and also the most stunning dives can be down along the east of the wall during summer. One can see striped bass, lobsters and flounders. Entering the site is a rather simple affair of walking down a wooden walkway. Visibility can be limited near the shore, because of sand in the water.
