About Crater Lake

Also known as Old Man Of The Lake. This is the deepest lake in The United States Of America. Reaching 1220 meters down, this is also the lake with the best visibility. It was formed due to the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama, more then 5677 years ago. Here you will need a permit before you are allowed diving. In about 450 meters of water you will find the wreck of a helicopter that crashed here several years ago. Its a beautiful dive, but due to circumstances, its recommended for advanced and most technical divers ONLY.
