About

We are a 5 Star PADI professional diver/instructor training facility located in Orlando, Florida.If you're a recreational diver or a technical diver, this is the place for you. We also offer professional courses if you're looking to make a career out of it. Our founder, Keith A. Mattson, PADI Course Director #15561 established The Dive Station in 1986. More than 3,500 students have been trained under his guidance, from open water to instructor. Keith taught over 225 Instructor Development courses and logged over 13,000 recreational and technical dives. The first PADI Enriched Air Instructor and first Emergency Response Instructor courses were conducted right here at The Dive Station. It was 1995 when The Dive Station became the first ever certified PADI Career Development Center. Our school, the Florida Diving Institute, is approved for Veteran training via The Florida Commission of Independent Education as school #1000. We are Veteran owned and operated with many of our staff being prior military, law enforcement, and firefighters. We have conducted courses in many locations around the world including South Africa, Guantanamo Bay, Germany, Costa Rica, The Bahamas and The Caribbean Islands. We even feature an onsite pool.
