Maui Dreams Dive Co. opened for business January 1, 1999. Just two short years later, the store doubled in size and underwent a complete remodel, we're talking 'Extereme Makeover'! Don and Rachel worked for the shop for a couple of years prior to taking over from Pacific Dive. Primary motivation — 24 HOUR ACCESS TO TANKS! Ha, ha, ha! Of course, they also had 1,000 or so different ideas that they wanted to try out too! There were also the usual reasons — they wanted to share their love of diving and create a place where locals and visitors alike would come hang out and 'talk story', truth or otherwise.
