Located on City Island, New York, Captain Mike’s is NYC’s scuba diving headquarters. At this 5-Star PADI Training Facility; we offer scuba diving instruction, scuba certification and education on all topics.From Open Water Scuba Lessons to Scuba Instructor Courses, we offer a wide range of course possibilities including rescue and ice diving! Advanced scuba diving courses include technical scuba diving with mixed gases, Extended Range and Rebreathers.The shop is owned and operated by Michael Carew, a ten-year veteran of the N.Y.P.D. Scuba team. He is a scuba diving enthusiast whose expertise makes each scuba dive experience a true adventure. Wreck diving, lobster and fish hunts, and searching for antique bottles from the 1700’s are among our favorite dive adventures.For those who want to take NYC scuba diving to another level, we offer regular diving charters around NYC. If you prefer the warmer waters, Captain Mike’s hosts trips to destinations such as The Bahamas, the Florida Keys, Bonaire and other breathtaking scuba diving trip destinations around the world!
