About Blue Octopus Scuba

Founded in 2013, Blue Octopus Scuba is a set of fresh ideas in a familiar location. Blue Octopus Scuba owner, Tim Cavanaugh, sought to make large-scale changes to the product and services offerings in the dive industry in Northern Virginia. Tim has since moved downstairs to run Blue Octopus Scuba Service Department so he can spend more time diving when Mike Wright and Scott Rose purchased Blue Octopus Scuba in 2016.Blue Octopus Scuba provides quality dive education offering anyone the opportunity to explore and appreciate the underwater world. We present a culture of eco-conservation and respect for all sea life. We travel the world seeking underwater experiences with our community of diving friends, and we offer the educational opportunities to enhance everyone's knowledge and skill. We capture the journey beneath the sea in vibrant photos, we cherish the memories, and share the experiences learned with family and friends.About Blue Octopus Scuba and retail shopEach of the Blue Octopus instructors brings a different interest, perspective, and capability enabling us to offer in-house instruction at nearly all diver levels. Whether you want a basic scuba certification to see a colorful fish on a shallow reef, make deep ocean dives, or forge through the underwater labyrinth of caverns and caves, we are able to provide these training opportunities.We've kept all of your favorite brands of scuba gear, and added in-house service technicians.
