About USS Illinois

This 140 meter long steam tanker was built in 1903 and was sunk by a German Sub (UC-21) during March 1917.She now lies upright and intatct at a depth of 68 meters though you can reach the decks at 55 meters.She was discovered in 1989 and has been explored by a couple of people in the past
