About The Breda Wreck

The Breda was a triple decked Steel Hulled Steamer. She was used during WW11 as a cargo steamer. She sank after being attacked by German Heinkel Bombers. Today she rests upright and fairly intact in 30 meters of water just off Armucknish Bay. She is enveloped in pristine corals and surrounded by abundant marine life. Excellent display of bottom topography along with the corals and marine life, creates a perfect balance of color. Here you will still find many old trucks, tyres, cargo and various other items around her. A beautiful wreck dive to excite any diver. Despite the depth, this site has very low currents, thus making it a dive for all level divers. However, its recommended that beginner divers, dive in groups or with instructors.
