About Sandown Pier

Beach entry and follow pier legs to under dodgems. Flat sand surrounds pier but rough ground under dodgems. Sand and shingle between pilings under very end of pier. Care is to be taken under end of pier due to fishermen, also diving is advised on slack tide times as cross currents can reduce visibility. Can be a very good night dive site. DIve start times are 2.5 hours before high tide and 5 hours after high tide.
