About Octavia

The Octavia was a large merchant Vessel that was used to transport flax. She also served as a mine layer during WW11. She sank in July 1917 after striking a underwater sea mine laid by a German UC46. She was only discovered in 1996. Today, more then 92 years under water, she remains a beautiful wreck. laying upright and flattened in 40 meters of water. Most of her remains are scattered around her, housing a large variety of marine life. Good coral growth.
