About K41

This dive site can be found jus 41 kilometers east of the capital, Dili on the main road from Dili to Bacao. Amenities include barbecues, a shaded beach area and overnight camping. This dive site is named K41 because it is exactly 41 kilometers to the east of Dili. Once one enters the water you will encounter a reef wall on your right that one can follow until it sinks away into the depths. One can see crinoids and gorgonians as well as sweetlips and fusiliers coating the reef top. If one swims to the left rather you will encounter different forms of marine life such as large sea whips and colourful coral bushes. K41 is a great dive site to find egg cowries on the gorgonians and large Nembrotha nudibranchs that feed on ascidians.
