About The Seaquest Drill Ship

Also known as The Scan Queen. She sank as a result of a storm caused by a typhoon. This typhoon was better known as 'Typhoon Gay' The Seaquest Drill ship was busy drilling for oil when the storm hit, sending her to her grave on the 3 November 1989. This incident was classified as the third worste oil rig disaster of the century. She had lost 91 lives with only 6 survivors. A beautiful dive. Recommended for advanced technical trimix divers due to the depth. She is filled with corals and abundant marine life.
