About Irrakandy Wreck

The Irrakandy is known to be the very best and most well known wreck dive in Tricomalee. It is believed that this ship was of British origin and possibly a steamer, however, no one can really tell where this ship came from or how, when and why it sank. Too many, this remains a mystery and this ship as often refered to as 'The Mystery Ship' Many divers and fisherman also believes that the Captain still watches over his lost ship, so be careful when diving here. Haha ! Beautiful underwater landscape with abundant corals and marine life.
