About The Wrecks

This is an amazing dive due to the amount of wreck which has been sunk here.To reach this scuba dive you need to travel via boat to it's location. This wreckage area is a very popular scuba dive, especially among the locals. There are various levels to this dive site and each wreck holds something for each type of scuba diver's skill level. The site itself consists of 5 different intentionally sunk wooden fishing wrecks which lie at a depth beween 24 and 40 meters, the wrecks were sunk in the 1970s by some members of BSAC.There is also a 50 meter long transport ship which was sunk in the 1980s,she lies on a shelf at a depth of 24 meters. There are a few more wrecks which are still intact which lay around,as well as the scattered remains of some less intact vessels. One of the more intact wrecks is named the 'Propeller' wreck and lies at a depth of 40 meters. While some of the wrecks here may appear safe to penetrate, they are definitely not and would be a dangerous task at attempt such an act. There is also a reef in the area which has a cavern at a depth of 24 meters.Inside this cavern there is some times some small marine creatures. The reef here is covered in coral growth and home to various fish life. The anemones upon the reef wall provide vibrant colour and gives an amazing view, the reef also has some smaller wreckage upon it such as tyres. The fish life in this area is amazing and while scuba diving here you are likely to encounter everything from small invertebrates to stingrays as well as barracuda. Overall this is an amazing dive site for anyone who wants to dive something different than the usual scuba dives.Provides the sense of being in an underwater scrapyard except the scrap is replaced by wonderful marine wreckage.Novice divers should note their capabilities and not attempt to go into the deeper sections of this dive site
