About SAS Pietermaritzberg

The SAS Pietermaritzberg was an old Minesweeper steel hulled vessel that was used in the South African Navy. She was sunk intentionally to create an artificial reef several years ago. Today, she is mostly broken up and her remains scattered on the sandy seabed. Home to a large variety of marine life and corals.
