About Crossroads

Another exceptional reef on the 'Wild Side' (out of Algoa Bay) within the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan area. Named CROSSROADS because the reef has intersecting gullies with colours and marine 'vegetation' typical of many of the reefs in of this region. You'll often find Ragged Tooth Sharks at rest in the gullies because they lazily exploit the current streams here. Rays make themselves comfy on the sandy bottoms of these gullies surrounded by soft corals, ferns and seafans. Rock Cod, Red Roman and Miss Lucys are common on this entire coastline and are also found here. Pyjama Sharks, Shy Sharks and Leopard Sharks are regulars and in season the boat ride can give an incredible bonus - whale-watchers won't be disappointed and the dolphins are religated to a mere side show.
