About Coral Gardens

Coral Gardens is located near Hottentotshuisie Bay in the Oudekraal Reserve. When the conditions are good this is a spectacular dive site, but the site is very exposed so beware of strong currents. A variety of hard and soft coral, urchins and anemones form a brightly coloured underwater garden and makes this one of the most beautiful sites in the Peninsula. The site can be reached by boat from Three Anchor Bay. Shore access is possible from the Hottentotshuisie parking lot. Follow the concrete drainage channel over the rocks to the water's edge, followed by a 100m swim to the end of a long flattish rock. Descend directly behind this rock.
