About Pro Dive Plettenberg Bay

It was the spectacular reefs, abundance of marine animals and superb natural beauty of Plettenberg Bay that drew Louis and Michelle van Aardt to this resort town. It only made sense to add scuba diving to the list of numerous outdoor and adventure activities available in the area.It was in 2006 that Pro Dive Plett was born and over the years has grown from a small outlet to a world class 5 Star PADI Dive Centre. With its own house reefs, on-site shop, lecture room, training pool, equipment room & air fill station it has now become an integral part of the Beacon Isle Resort. With the head office being in Port Elizabeth, Plettenberg Bay enhances the Pro Dive experience for divers along the Garden Route.

Glide over nurse-shark nurseries at Hol Chan, descend along Lighthouse Reef’s vertiginous walls, or time your visit to Placencia for exhilarating whale-shark encounters at Gladden Spit. Warm 26-29 °C waters, 15-30 m visibility and a laid-back Creole-Garífuna culture turn every surface interval into a tropical holiday. Whether you’re certifying in shallow seagrass meadows or racking up tech-level depth on coral-encrusted ledges, Belize blends world-class marine biodiversity with sustainable operators, eco-minded lodges and easy travel connections—making it the perfect base for both first-time bubbles and bucket-list underwater adventures.
