About USS Atlanta

Went down off Guadalcanal. in a battle between the Americans and Japanese in 42'. A torpedo hit the engine room after the bridge and gun turrets were attacked. It set alight and had to be scuttled. Best dived on trimix from 200ft she lies at 430ft. Currents get moody from 300 and vis fades at 15. The wreck lies port side at 60degrees. The stern is hardly intact but the AA guns from the aft deck are still lying around. Tech equipment is necessary to counter the current and up to 400 watt lights for visuals.
