About 5 Mile Reef

5 miles off Apia Harbour, an outer reef with tons of hard coral and prolific marine life. Five Mile Reef rises from a 200-300 m abyss to 14 m catering to all dive levels. The water is warm and vis is great 30-50 m! Very popular is Valerie's Corner where large boulders were deposited during the 1991 cyclone with the same name which created a home for giant clams, Christmas tree tube worms and moray eels. Lots of valleys, chasms and drop-offs to explore.
