About Ruy Barbosa

This Brazilian vessel was built in 1913 and while on route to Leixões it ran into thick fog where she ran aground,about 200 meter from Marreco beach.The ship was carrying German Jew refugees at the time of it's sinking but there were no deaths during the incident.While majority of the ship is now broken up,one can still see the anchors,boilers as well as some other parts scattered.
