About Hakkai Maru

A 5114 ton Japanese naval vessel which lies at a depth of 41 meters in an upright position, she sunk in 1944 when she was bombed. The wreck is covered in corals, though the wreck itself remains the primary interest. Divers with penetration experience can enter this wreck though must take care of the silt and the hanging cables present. An excellent wreck dive for the advanced divers.
