About Ulong Channel

Ulong Island has a different feel to the rest, slightly older and more 'untouched.' The ancient tribe's etched petroglyphs the Island's western cliffs - make sure you get a glimpse before the dive. The channel itself is best dived when the current is strong. It can change halfway through the dive though which simply means go with it! This rewarding one and a half mile drift offers a gorgeously distracting wall and sharks by the dozen at the mouth. The stronger the current, the more sharks. Watch for the spot of reef where inhabitants take up residence in the cabbage coral floret, a regular sprawling 'fishy suburbia'.
