About Thor

According to a dive centre at Haugesund, a wreck lies here in shallow water. It is possibly the steamer Thor, built in Dublin in 1867. She sank in a storm in March 1906 with the loss of 39 lives. The wreck was salvaged in place by a Stavanger company, and very little remains.
