About Willie McLaren Wreck

This was a Wooden Hulled Barkentine built in 1874. She sank on November 5, 1989 after running over Steeple Rock, while transporting coal. This ripped a hole in her hull and she started taking on water, and eventually sank. She is broken up and her remains can be found in shallow waters. Many interesting artifacts to be seen.
