The Star of The Evening was a Iron Hulled Screw Steam vessel. She wrecked on 13 February 1876 after steering into a reef at Puawha. Today she can be found close to Poverty Bay in a sandy bottom no deeper than 12 meters. She is enveloped in beautiful corals and surrounded by a large array of marine life.
