About Scotia Wreck

The Scotia was an old Barque Rigged Screw Steamer sailing under the command of Captain Gay. She was enroute from Melbourne, Australia to Bluff Harbour when she ran over the Reef at Stirling Point. The reef and rocks penetrated her hull and send her to her watery grave in no time. She is now home to a beautiful blanket of corals and abundant marine life.
