About Valley of the Rays

Likened to the M'il Channel in the west, this east coast Yap spot sports tons of mantas in summer around May-November with plenty of sites dotted around the area which can be explored on a day trip. They enter through the Goofnuw Channel (17-25m seep) where the coral outcrops each provide a cleaning area - of which Merry-Go-Round is the biggest in Yap. North is the Car Wash near Manta Rock (12m coral pinnacle) sheltered from currents where the rays come in during the mornings.
