About Zonqor Point

Zonqor Point is a shore dive site situated on the north side of the entrance to Marsaskala Bay. The site features shallow reefs on both sides of the peninsula, with a maximum depth of approximately 20 metres. The southern reef is often explored on the return from the St. Michael and Tug 10 tugboat wrecks, boasting a gently sloping landscape adorned with colourful marine growth. The northern reef, known as Zonqor Point North, has separate entry and exit points located about 300 metres further. This area is characterized by large boulders and gullies near the shore, which gradually become smaller as the seabed deepens.

The dive site is recommended for beginners due to its manageable depth and gentle slopes. The site is located near Marsaskala, making it easily accessible for divers. The type of dive site is classified as a reef, offering a diverse range of marine life and underwater landscapes.
