About Valley

Valley is a popular dive site located in Wied iz-Zurrieq, ideal for divers of all experience levels. The site features a shallow and narrow bay that gradually deepens to a maximum depth of around 15 metres. The rock-bottomed valley is often used for training and practice dives, including technical dive training. The site is also excellent for night diving, with an abundance of marine life found around and under the small overhangs and rocks within the inlet.

Divers starting from the valley have the option to explore two impressive reefs and the renowned Um El Faroud wreck. The East Reef is a wall with depths exceeding 30 metres, while the West Reef features drop-offs, ledges, gullies, boulders, and two caves. The Um El Faroud wreck, a 110-metre long Libyan oil tanker scuttled in 1998, is considered one of the best wreck dives in Malta. The dive site type includes caves, reefs, and walls, offering a diverse underwater landscape for divers to explore.
