About Ten Wreck

At Zonqor Point, there are two wrecks of tug boats: St Michael and the Ten Wreck. St Michael is located in 22 meters of water and can be reached by a short swim from the shore on a 270-degree bearing. The Ten Wreck is situated approximately 30 meters further around the reef from St Michael, at a depth of 18 meters. The visibility in this area is usually good enough to easily spot one wreck from the other, with the Ten Wreck being identifiable by the 'No. 10' painted on it. During the swim to the wrecks, it is not uncommon to encounter free-swimming little moray eels. However, the visibility may vary, and on some occasions, it may not be optimal. The marine life in the area includes goatfish and various other species. It is important to exercise caution when exiting the water, as there have been instances of individuals being pulled off the rocks by unexpected waves. Shore-based diving in Malta often takes place on rocky terrain, requiring careful navigation and attention to safety protocols. Overall, while the dive at Zonqor Point may not be the most captivating in Malta, it offers a suitable experience for beginners with a light current and a maximum depth of 22 meters.
