About Sirens

Sirens is a dive site located in St. Paul’s Bay on the northern coast of Malta. It features a shallow reef with a maximum depth of 12 metres, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels. The site is characterized by a varied rocky and sandy bottom, covered with boulders and seagrass. The quay wall is a habitat for a diverse range of marine life, including moray eel, octopus, cuttlefish, scorpionfish, and various wrasses and breams. Due to its shallow depth, calm and clear waters, and easy shore entry and exit, Sirens is often used for practice dives and training courses. It is also an excellent site for refresher dives, underwater photography, and navigation skills practice.

There are several entry and exit points at Sirens, including a rocky slope with a handrail, ladders, and stairs leading to rock-cut pools. Divers can swim from the pool to the open sea through a channel in the rock. However, divers should be cautious of boat traffic if diving far from the shore, as small boats frequently enter and leave the nearby harbour and bay. Amenities such as parking, a dive centre, restaurants, and cafes are conveniently located nearby. In addition to diving, Sirens is also a popular site for swimming and snorkelling. The recommended experience level for this dive site is beginner.
