About MV King Edwin

MV King Edwin is a World War II wreck located approximately 5 km from Valletta, Malta. This British cargo ship, built in 1927, measures 122 m in length and about 17 m in width. The ship caught fire while unloading at Grand Harbour of Valletta in April 1943 and was subsequently scuttled. After the war in 1945, the wreck was lifted and towed out of the harbour, only to be scuttled again in deep water. The wreck now lies at a depth of 112 metres, almost upright and covered with corals.

The MV King Edwin wreck is a technical dive due to its depth. Divers can expect to see the ship surrounded by schools of fish. The site is primarily a wreck dive, offering a glimpse into the maritime history of the region.
