About Inland Sea & Tunnel

The Inland Sea & Tunnel is a renowned scuba diving site located in Dwejra. The site features a semi-circular lagoon, known as the Inland Sea, which is connected to the Mediterranean Sea by an 80-meter long Tunnel cave. The Inland Sea itself is shallow, with a maximum depth of 2 meters, and offers little for divers. However, the Tunnel provides a unique diving experience, with its depth starting at 3 meters on the lagoon side and reaching up to 26 meters at the seaward end. The tunnel is characterized by vertical walls and a pebble bottom, leading to a cluster of large boulders at the seaside exit. Beyond the Tunnel, the seabed plunges to around 50 meters.
