About Fra Ben Cave

Fra Ben Cave is a shallow cavern dive located on the north side of the Qawra Point peninsula. The cave extends approximately 15 metres inwards and features an open ceiling, creating a small inland sea with a large central rock. Divers can swim around this rock and surface in the blowhole. The cave is particularly stunning on sunny days when rays of light create a mesmerizing underwater spectacle. The entrance to Fra Ben Cave is at a depth of 6 metres and can be challenging to spot if the sun casts a shadow. The cave is about 100 metres from the north side entry at Qawra Point.

To reach the cave, divers should follow the shore around a corner into a small bay, keeping the reef on their right. After exploring the cave, divers can continue their dive to the North Reef & Arch outside the cave, or visit Fra Ben Cave after diving the reef. The maximum depth of the dive is 9 metres, making it suitable for beginners. The dive site type is a combination of a cave and a reef. The visibility and current conditions can vary.
