About Double Arch

Double Arch is a unique dive site located in Marsalforn, on the north coast of Gozo. The site is named after its two natural arches that are stacked on top of each other. Accessible from the shore with a 10-minute dive/surface swim from Xwejni Bay or by boat, the topmost parts of the reef are at depths of 15 to 18 meters. The arches begin at a depth of 20 meters, with the area under the arches reaching a depth of 34 meters, and the end of the reef plunging to 45 meters. The site also features small caves near the arch and a larger cave a bit further out.

The marine life at Double Arch is diverse, with large shoals of barracudas often seen near the arch and sometimes huge groupers in the deeper parts. The site has a light current and offers an approximate maximum visibility of 30 meters. Due to the depth and the presence of caves, this site is recommended for experienced divers. The dive site type is categorized as Rock and Other.
