About Coral Cave

Coral Cave is a captivating dive site situated in Dwejra on the west coast of Gozo. The site features a large open cavern adorned with a variety of colorful corals. The entrance of the cave begins at a depth of 17-18 m and extends down to the seabed at 28-30 m. The cave's semi-circular opening spans about 30 metres wide, and it stretches 50-60 m inwards. The cave floor is sandy and slopes up to around 21 m, meeting the ceiling at the back. The walls and ceiling are covered with diverse types of corals, which are very fragile and should be treated with care. The cave is well-lit, even at the back, but divers are advised not to enter the hole in the back without proper cave diving training.

Coral Cave is located in a vertical wall between Coral Gardens and Rogers Cave, offering several entry and exit points. Divers can enter or exit the water through Blue Hole or Coral Gardens, above Rogers Cave between Big Bear and Little Bear, or even through Inland Sea & Tunnel. The site offers a wide selection of dive routes to choose from, and divers can also combine Coral Cave dive with Crocodile Rock or Azure Reef. The maximum depth of the site is 30 m, and it is recommended for advanced divers due to the potential risks involved. The dive site type is a cave, and it is located near the location named 'Dwejra'.
